‘Roslyn Anne’ is a 22 metre by 7.1 metre steel prawn trawler, powered by a Cummins N-14 Diesel delivering 360hp. It too has a bulbous bow producing greater stability’s in the choppy Gulf.

All ASCI vessels are lofted and flame cut in the traditional way. Tradition is conspicuous throughout this vessel.

In the wheelhouse is a genuine wheel; large and timber instead of the midget metal item currently standard.

There and elsewhere are large areas of ASCI’s trademark Nyatoh joinery, setting off the working and accommodation spaces. The wheelhouse has had the usual skipper’s cabin removed from its aft end to give a 360° field of vision.

Like all recent constructions, ‘Roslyn Anne’ has separated the working gear from sorting by placing the winches on an extension of the raised foredeck aft of the wheelhouse. The hydraulic controls are on the centreline, and paired with steering and throttle controls to make this total vessel control centre. Sight lines are excellent, with almost the whole sorting deck under the skipper’s eye without moving. This is aided by the absence of need for a sun awning over the deck.
